The Overholt Homestead was built by Abraham Overholt in 1838, when he was in his mid-50s. A year later he built the summer kitchen for his wife Maria. Both are made of brick made right on the Overholt property.

The Overholt Homestead was built by Abraham Overholt in 1838, when he was in his mid-50s. A combination of Federal and Greek Revival architecture, this house was an imposing, but welcoming, sight in the village.

Built in 1838, the same year the Homestead was built. This barn is made of brick, with ventilation holes in the walls to keep the hay from spontaneous combustion. The stables below housed the Overholt's carriage horses.

Small Barn by Ray Weber

The exact date of the small barn's building is unclear, but it was between the years of 1826 and 1828. This barn housed the farm's work horse teams, and was restored by a group of Amish carpenters in the 1990s.
